a poem

Sweetest Lies

Last night
I saw her
In my dream
She came to me

She held me tight
Whispered in my ear
I clearly heard that
She loves me

Last night
I dreamed her
It was so real
She was so happy

I could feel
The sweetness of her hands
Warming mine
Promising loyalty

Last night
I saw her by the bars
Brought me the key
Whispered in the wind
I am at last free

I followed her smiles
She faked for me
In that garden of joy
Every moment was linked
To eternity

Last night
Never put my head down to rest
Never dreamed of her
I must confess

Last night
I wept in the memory of her
In the absence of stars
Moon was my only beholder
